Does this replace the official WooCommerce Pre-Orders plugin?
Yes. Preorders for WooCommerce is standalone — you don't need the official plugin. It covers everything the official plugin does, plus 34 additional features it doesn't have.
How does the deposit and balance invoicing work?
You set a deposit amount (percentage or fixed) per product. Customers pay only the deposit today. When the product releases, the plugin automatically generates a WooCommerce order for the remaining balance with a secure payment link emailed to the customer. A retry mechanism handles failed deliveries.
Can I set different settings per product variation?
Yes — each variation of a variable product can have its own pre-order status, release date, deposit amount, pricing mode, and stock cap — completely independent of the parent and other variations. The official plugin doesn't support this.
What happens if my server crashes mid-release?
A release journal fail-safe logs every stock addition step. If a crash interrupts the process, the system detects the incomplete release and resumes safely — guaranteeing stock is never added twice. The data integrity scanner can also detect and repair anomalies.
Is it compatible with WooCommerce HPOS?
Yes. Full WooCommerce High Performance Order Storage (HPOS) compatibility is built in. It also supports the Store API and Block themes (Gutenberg checkout).
